Kempsford Camping 2010 - What a great week!!!!
Thank you so much to everyone who has sent over messages of thanks, we really enjoyed it and are so glad everyone seemed to have had such a good time. Therasa stayed awake, the show was great, the food was really tasty and George didn't run out of beer!!! Elvis went down a storm - watching him lead a conga round the marquee at midnight to the strains of Suspicious Minds is something that will stay with me for a while!!
You will be pleased to hear that the International Paper Aeroplane Competition record was smashed, with the winner throwing an amazing 30.6 metres! Get googling that perfect design for next year........
The Sunday night quiz was again won by Team Jet Provost - we really do need to up the ante if we are to topple these guys off their perch next year. Perhaps the time is right to bring Sooty's Sweepings out of forced retirement?? As we said on the night the trophy is now the John Capel Memorial Trophy in honour of my dear friend and long time campsite and quiz supporter who sadly died the week before the show.
